Line Service Technician - Quantem FBO

The Line Service Technician is the primary service provider to business and general aviation aircraft, their passengers and crews. The Line Service Technicians responsibility includes the fueling and towing of aircraft as well as other ancillary services in a safe and efficient manner. Must possess Airport/Airline or similar industry operational experience with a background in safety and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and provide exceptional communication skills.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, pilots, executives, employees, airport administration and vendors, Quantem management, operations, maintenance, human resources, payroll, accounting, etc.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines; must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach.
  • Strong customer service orientation to include increasing customer satisfaction, meeting customer expectations, solving customer problems and responding effectively to the internal and external customer.
  • Maintains a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated discretion, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ensures that the customer and Quantem FBO staff informed as to customer service needs and deadlines to avoid surprises or service failures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated managing multiple competing tasks and demands.


  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • 3 years progressive aviation services industry knowledge desired.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required
  • Successful completion of all Quantem Fixed Based Operations classroom and OJT training.
  • Having a working knowledge of Fueling, Ground Handling, Tow/Pushback of aircraft of various sizes and complexity.
  • Requires a high degree of safety and efficiency with respect to customer aircraft and terminal operational procedures.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).


  • This position requires a broad range of aviation experience including considerable knowledge of principles and practices of safety, hazardous cargo and airline practices and procedures.
  • Performs fueling and towing of business and general aviation aircraft and other related tasks.
  • Ensures all Quantem and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with customers concerning the customer’s requirements.
  • Process credit card transactions with speed and accuracy as well as other office duties.
  • Follows all QFS Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.
  • Obtain all information required for the billing and to prepare invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is excessive at times.
